ABOUT

The South Lake Recreational Water and Sewer District’s interest is in safeguarding the condition of groundwater and the quality of water in Lake Cascade. We also aim to protect and improve area property values.

To accomplish these goals, we propose to develop a wastewater collection and/or treatment system to provide services for the property owners surrounding the southern shores of the lake. The need for these services was underscored by engineering studies conducted for the County Commission in cooperation with the Idaho Department of Health and the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality.

An important part of the process is to hear from you. Your feedback, questions and comments are both welcome and encouraged. We look forward to hearing from you via email, telephone, mail, or in person.

SPECIAL NOTE
Circumstances beyond the control of the Board have resulted in a loss of grant monies, and construction of a treatment plant is not contemplated in the near future. The Board is considering appropriate avenues to consolidate service areas into more efficient groupings. As such, it seems appropriate to consider de-annexation of some areas that will be very expensive to service. Individuals will be required to request the action on each specific lot, and will be responsible for costs associated with the legal process. Contact the District for more information.
